My kids have grown up in Waumba Land so it’s great to give back to other families in that stage. As parents drop off, I’ll often say “enjoy the service” because I know it took a lot of effort for them to get their family to church that morning and I truly want them to enjoy that hour and be able to focus on the service knowing their kids are doing well and having a great time in Waumba Land. Serving has really made a large church feel smaller. Community with my fellow volunteers and getting to know the families we serve has been a true blessing. It takes a lot of people to make Waumba Land happen but together we are part of something so much greater than ourselves. Serving in my local church has always been a part of my life, starting with my parents, on my own and now my kids serve with me. Serving has shaped and grown every area of my life.
