Understanding the Story of the Bible

Spring 2023

If you’re like many people, you know the Bible is an important part of your faith. But if you’ve ever tried to read through it, you’ve realized just how confusing it can be.

The stories in the Bible are interesting, but the story of the Bible helps us better understand the stories we read in it. In this three-week class, we will walk through the story of the Bible so that you’ll have a better understanding of key events, characters, and how everything fits together.

When: Wednesday evenings, 7:00–8:30 p.m.
Where: East Cobb Theatrical
2863 Johnson Ferry Road
Marietta, GA 30062

What is Foundations?

Foundations exists to provide a short-term group experience where adults can learn the essentials of following Jesus as they build and own a faith of their own. Each course lasts three weeks and will be offered in rotation at different times throughout the year.

Foundations classes are designed to give you a place to learn the essentials of following Jesus as you build or own your faith. There are six Foundations classes:

  • Understanding Who God Is
  • Understanding Your New Identity
  • Understanding the Story of the Bible
  • How to Read the Bible Well
  • How to Establish Spiritual Habits
  • How to Live in the Kingdom of God

Each one is designed with you in mind and will include helpful teaching and practical application as we build a foundation for our faith.
