Meet Our Speakers

Andy and Sandra Stanley

Andy and Sandra Stanley have three grown children, two daughters-in-law, a son-in-law, and one granddaughter. In their recently released book entitled Parenting: Getting It Right, Andy and Sandra combine their experience and wisdom into a guide that helps parents define their most important goal in parenting and learn the steps to pursue it.  

Andy Stanley founded Atlanta-based North Point Ministries (NPM) in 1995. Today, NPM consists of eight churches in the Atlanta area and a network of 180 churches around the globe that collectively serve over 200,000 people weekly. He is also the author of more than 20 books, including Irresistible; Better Decisions, Fewer Regrets; and Deep & Wide.

Sandra Stanley received her bachelor of science degree from Georgia Tech and master of arts from Dallas Theological Seminary. Sandra has a heart for foster kids and foster families, as she and Andy have been foster parents since 2010. She is actively involved with Fostering Together, the foster care initiative of North Point Ministries.

David Thomas is the Director of Family Counseling at Daystar Counseling Ministries in Nashville, Tennessee. He is the co-author of ten books, including the best-selling Wild Things: The Art of Nurturing Boys and Are My Kids on Track? The 12 Emotional, Social & Spiritual Milestones Your Child Needs to Reach.

Sissy Goff

Sissy Goff is the Director of Child and Adolescent Counseling at Daystar Counseling Ministries in Nashville, Tennessee. Since 1993, Sissy has been helping girls and their parents find confidence in who they are and hope in who God is making them to be, both as individuals and as families.

Chinwé Williams

Chinwé Williams, PhD is a licensed and board-certified therapist. She’s a former graduate counseling professor, college and high school counselor, and executive coach. She is a consultant for K–12 schools as well as nonprofit, faith-based, and corporate work settings.

Cesar Perez

Cesar Perez is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and the director of Pastoral Care at The Church at South Lake in Clermont, Florida. He has been married to his wife Christy, a school principal, since 2001, and together they continue to raise their three older teenagers/young adults. As a pastor and therapist, Cesar loves helping individuals and families navigate through relational conflicts, unresolved trauma, depression, anxiety, and many other mental and spiritual troubles.

Jim Burns

Jim Burns is President of HomeWord and author of several books on parenting and marriage. He typically speaks and writes on the values of HomeWord: strong marriages, confident parents, empowered kids, and healthy leaders. Jim and his wife, Cathy, live in Dana Point, California, and have three grown daughters, three sons-in-law, and three grandchildren. When not at work, he loves spending time with his family at the beach, traveling, and hanging out with the grandkids.
