Racial Reconciliation
Resources and Support

We believe there is hope for a better world.
WHAT IF, IN YOUR NEXT CONVERSATION ABOUT RACE, YOU PLACED A HIGHER PRICE ON THE LIVES INVOLVED THAN THE POSITION YOU HOLD?

Personal Stories
Our current strategy to fight racism has four parts:
-
Educate Yourselves Read books and listen to stories to broaden and deepen your understanding of racism—both individual and systemic.
-
Speak Up Sign petitions, send emails, make phone calls to civic leaders as needed, and seek justice for policy change. Spread awareness and post and show support.
-
Lean in Locally Get involved in Cobb County to do what you can to promote racial reconciliation and equality. Here are three current goals we are actively pursuing:
-
Contact the Cobb County Sheriff’s Office to ask what they're doing to prevent future tragedies and offer our support in any way possible.
-
Establish an ongoing relationship with at least one local black church in the name of unity, learning from each other, and moving together.
-
Identify urgent issues facing Black and Latino communities in Cobb County and make sure they are addressed during Be Rich and supported by the Love Where You Live fund.
-
-
Prioritize Diversity—of all kinds—at the staff, stage, and volunteer level!
