The Move

East Cobb Church is moving to mornings!

We’re excited to move our weekly services to Fellowship Christian School. We’ll be able to meet at a time more accessible to the families of our community and eventually be able to have multiple services!

When are we moving to mornings?

Our first service will be on November 12, 2023, at 11:00 a.m.

Where are we meeting?

We will meet at Fellowship Christian School. Adults will meet for worship in the main gymnasium that doubles as an auditorium with ample seating.

Will there be ministry environments for kids and students?

Yes! We will have all ministry environments available, just like we do now, but they will be more conveniently located to one another. Let us know if your family will be joining us.

Waumba Land (Babies–Pre-K) and UpStreet (K–5th) will have their own spaces with everything needed for a great Sunday experience, including large group worship and small groups.

Transit (Middle school) will meet at the same time as adults in a second gym with plenty of space for large group worship and small groups.

InsideOut (High school) will meet in the same space as Transit but will meet at 5:00 p.m.

Why are we moving?

We recognize that meeting for church on Sunday afternoons is not optimal for most people in our community. Moving to Fellowship Christian School will allow us to provide morning service(s) with more space to grow. In addition, Fellowship Christian School is much closer to our property where we are building our permanent home.

What time will service(s) be?

We are still determining how many services we will need to offer and at what times to create the best experience for adults, students, and kids ministries. We will update everyone as soon as possible.

How can we help?

We are going to need more people to serve and give after this transition. If you would like to be part of our growing church, you can learn more here! As time goes on, we’ll  have more opportunities to get involved, especially with setup, teardown, and technical teams.

What's the update on our new building?

In October 2021, we purchased land and began the process of rezoning the property. In 2022, we received rezoning approval from the Cobb County Board of Commissioners and applied for our Land Disturbance Permit. In March of 2023, we received our Land Disturbance Permit and are now busy getting to work on the project!
